WNBC 66 Time Machine

 Back by popular demand! When 66 WNBC NY radio was playing the Time Machine weeknights, it became so popular it was expanded to included weekends & holidays. Here’s one of NBC’s most popular features at the end of it’s life on 660 AM – The Time Machine! This was a great recreation of 1960s WABC musicradio the way it sounded right down to the PAMS jingles, re-sung for 66 WNBC. And 66WNBC had it down to science with precise timing. Who said music was dead on AM radio. Not here it wasn't. This was 1987 and 1988, with only about months and weeks to go before 66 WNBC would be gone forever and along with it, one of the most colorful station legacies in broadcasting history. But it's not gone. The WNBC Time Machine lives again online on CLASSIC OLDIES RADIO. We brought it back with the biggest original fully restored airchecks & clips included. Our 12th year! Some music segments restored in stereo by yours truly. We left in the old commercials and newscasts where available. Who said oldies is dead.
